Light: This size holds approx. 3.4 teaspoons of liquid. It is suitable for you who normally have to change tampons 2-4 times a day. Heavy: This size holds approx. 5.2 teaspoons of liquid. You can leave it in for up to 12 hours without emptying it, unless you bleed more than the cup can hold. However, we recommend that you empty the cup more often in the beginning until you get to know the menstrual cup and how much you bleed. As you get the hang of it, you get a nice flow in what suits you. .
Yes! You can, but be absolutely sure that you have broken the vacuum before removing the menstrual cup. Also make sure that the threads of the IUD are cut short before using a menstrual cup with an IUD.
Yes, of course! .
You can! In fact, swimming and diving with a menstrual cup is much more comfortable than with any other menstrual product we know of. .
Both pee and poo come from separate holes, completely independent of your vagina, so in theory this is no problem! If you're pushing the cup out because you're pushing too hard, it might be a good idea to take it out before you poop. .
In theory, the silicone should last up to ten years with proper maintenance, but because it can both become discolored over time and may tear after use, we recommend replacing it sooner if it has been well used.
As Flove's menstrual cup does not contain toxic chemicals for either you or the environment, you can burn it or throw it in the waste.
Relax! If you can't get hold of the cup itself, you can gently pull the stem to get it further down into the vagina. It can also help to push it down with the help of the muscles in the abdomen, then the cup will follow. When you get a grip, pinch the bottom of the cup until you hear or feel the vacuum being broken and pull it out gently.
Don't panic, there's no way the menstrual cup can disappear into your body, it's physically impossible. The more you tighten the muscles in your abdomen, the better it sits. Take a breath and do your best to relax your lower abdomen. If it still doesn't work, you can always go for a walk or do something else that helps you calm down, before you try again. .
TSS (toxic shock syndrome) is caused by toxins from streptococcal or staphylococcal bacteria entering the bloodstream. The condition is caused by these bacteria and can be triggered by, for example, menstrual products that are left in for too long, especially absorbent products such as tampons. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms when you have your period: high fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, sore throat, muscle pain, headache or dizziness/lightheadedness.
Ready to get a better period? Flove menstrual cup will make you comfortable and safe for up to 12 hours, while you do what you usually do!
